Emerging Scholars Series

The Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review presents the Emerging Scholars Series. The Emerging Scholars Series highlights the work of the junior scholars who are poised to become the leading intellectual property thinkers of the next generation. This series features cutting-edge scholarship from contributors who we believe will continue producing high-caliber work on intellectual property law and thus greatly contribute to the academic and professional community.

Faculty Advisors Bruce Boyden and Kali Murray carefully select rising scholars in the field of intellectual property law whose work demonstrates exceptional promise and originality. These individuals are typically early in their academic careers—such as recent graduates, postdoctoral fellows, or junior faculty—yet their research already reflects the rigor, insight, and creativity that mark influential scholarship. Selected scholars are featured in future issues of the Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review, providing them with a respected platform to share their ideas with a broader academic and professional audience.

The Emerging Scholars Series aims to foster meaningful engagement between new voices in the field and established members of the intellectual property community. By publishing innovative and thought-provoking work from scholars at the beginning of their careers, the Series encourages dialogue across generations and specialties within intellectual property law. This initiative underscores the Law Review’s commitment to supporting academic growth, expanding diverse perspectives, and shaping the future of intellectual property scholarship.
