Prospective Members

The Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review is a leading print publication on intellectual property and technology law issues. The Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review seeks dedicated and engaging students to become members of the staff. Students can apply for membership through a write-on competition held shortly following Spring semester finals.

As Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review staff members, students will be tasked with compiling sources, editing footnotes and reviewing article text prior to article publication. These tasks are essential to the publication process and staff members are valuable contributors to the Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review.

Members are also required to write a student comment during their first year on the journal. The Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review publishes the strongest of these student comments each year. Importantly, a published student comment is one of the best ways for students to demonstrate their commitment to and expertise in intellectual property law to their colleagues and potential employers.

At the conclusion of each school year, staff members may also apply for executive board positions on the journal and can continue their participation in leadership roles on the Marquette Intellectual Property & Innovation Law Review.
